You will be pleased to hear that it is finally raining - the farmers certainly are. The vegie garden (and my water bill) are also happy about this, with the basil still thriving and eagerly awaiting the chop to join Mr almonds and Mrs parmesan in the freeze. Pesto is so nice to have in the middle of winter - it's a tantalising taste of the spring to come. I know, I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself with the mention of spring - it's only autumn!
Speaking of rushing time - this weekend we are taking an hour of it back and New Zealand turns it's clocks back an hour. So if anyone is calling from the UK, New Zealand will be 11 hours ahead.
Autumn also brings school fairs, and my old primary school, Tahunanui, had theirs recently. Here is Maisie and I enjoying a trip on the choo choo train.

And here is Maisie enjoying a gingerbread man from the cake stall.
On the subject of enjoying food, the UK visitors enjoyed fish n chips, and the more neanderthal tinkers enjoyed theirs on the floor. This was Maisie's first fish n chip experience, and one could say that she was most delighted with it.
The following week it's Easter, and Maisie's first Easter Egg hunt went very well. Here she is finding one in the Kaffir lime tree.
With all this good food, one needs to balance it out with moderate exercise (I have to say this as we have a doctor in the house), and so off we went to visit friends with a trampoline to do some 'dumpy dumping'.
Well... I'll leave you with some happy news to finish off. We're over the moon to tell you Maisie is expecting a brother or sister start October. Yes, that makes me 14 weeks pregnant!

Even Violet sat with us and enjoyed a chip or two from Maisie.

Todays rain event. Mum making do with a towel as a cover on the way to playgroup, with the proper one in the car boot 6 kms away. Woops.
