Apparently is is going to precipitate tomorrow. But thankfully it is only to last for a day before we get back to normal.
To make the most of todays sun, we enjoyed meeting up with friends down at the beach. The kids enjoyed milk fluffys. (For those not in the fluffy loop, this consists of foamed milk, marshmellos, and chocolate sprinkles.)
Recharged after lunch and a sleep, the sandpit was the place to be.
My moan for the day is that the chickens are laying the odd egg not where they should be. So one has to be careful where one stands when entering Cluckingham Palace.
I shall be calling a meeting first thing to reiterate the house rules.
Later on in the day husband went for a 5km run around the airport track. It's quite a nice walk taking you along the water. It also goes past the sewerage plant. Which is not so nice.
After his run, there was energy left to make the family dinner, and we all enjoyed a delicious pasta bolognese. After advising husband Miss M's portion was too large, Miss M proved me completely wrong, and demolished the lot as if she'd not eaten all day. (Which, out of interest was... weetbix with yoghurt, milk & fruit salad, slice of toast, a fluffy, a cookie, a banana, two plums, half an apple, avocado on toast, avocado on cracker, a marmite & cheese sandwich, and sultanas.) Not only did she finish her dinner, but then enjoyed greek yoghurt & watermelon for pudding! She is indeed a very good eater our wee girl.
On the garden front, today I harvested the coriander seeds, and now have an excellent supply of future plants for the rest of the year. At least. I've also saved my own broad bean seeds, so hopefully these will produce some good results at a later date. The spring onions seeds from last years plants are starting to take off, and shortly I'll have another hundred of the things. It's one thing that grows easily in my garden, even if not much else does.
With child asleep, it's time to enjoy some sleep ourselves. Goodnight!
